Day – 01 – Start from Siliguri and arrive at Kakarvitta – It is at a distance of nearly 30 kilometers from the town of Siliguri – Kakarbhitta (often written and pronounced Kankadbhitta or Kakarvitta) is a neighbourhood in Mechinagar Municipality in Jhapa District of Province Number 1, southeastern Nepal – Kakarvitta is about 12-15 hours drive and 610 kilometers away from Kathmandu – Kakarvitta is on the Nepal-India border at the eastern end of the 922-km long East-West Highway – On a clear day you can see the foothills of the Kanchenjunga range; from the plains – The way up to 2500 meters is Nepal’s tea growing area – You can Notice the well-practiced intercropping method the local farmer’s use- Kakarbhitta is the eastern terminus of Nepal’s east-west Mahendra Highway at the country’s eastern border with Darjeeling District, West Bengal state, India – Entry Formalities – Dharan is approximately 110 kilometers and is nearly 03 hours drive by scenic road -Overnight Dharan
Day – 02 – After breakfast Dharan sightseeing – Dantakali temple – Situated in the middle of beautiful hills of Bijaypur in Dharan is the temple of Dantakali (the tooth goddess) – The temple observes the presence of the maximum number of devotees in Navaratri (Nine Nights), Maha Ashtami & Dashain – Next Budhasubba temple – Budha Subba is an ancient Kiranti shrine on the Bijaypur hill in Dharan – Pindeshwor temple – This Hindu temple is right at the bottom of Vijayapur Hill, only a 15-minute walk east from Bhanu Chowk – There are 3 temples in all, one mini one with a low door, another with a courtyard and several bells & statues around the entire site – Nirvana Gulf course is one of the biggest and oldest golf courses with an area of 69 hectares – 18 Hole Golf course with 5990 yardages, 70 pars with one of the best facilities in the country capable of hosting major and International Golfing events – B.P.Koirala health and science hospital – Bhedetar is located at 16 kilometers from Dharan – Scenic beauty attracts tourists – There were lots of Sheep (Bheda) in this place, so they named the place as Bhedeta r- Namaste falls nearly 8 kilometers from the village of Bhedatar is about 80 meters high – Back to Dharan – Overnight Dharan
Day – 03 – Early morning go for Haleshi via Bardibash-Khurkot road – It is nearly 375 kilometers or Via Katari-Ghurmi road which is 270 kilometers – Breakfast and lunch on the way – Reach to HaleshiHaleshi Mahadev is a very popular temple known as The Pashupatinath of eastern Nepal – It’s situated in the Khotang district – It is situated at an elevation of 3100 feet – 4734 feet – It is nearly 185 kilometers southwest of Mount Everest and a venerated site of Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage – Shri Haleshi Mahadev is a sacred temple situated here – The location of this cave lies between the holy rivers Dudh Koshi and Sun Kosi – This place is usually cold and rainy – Nowadays it is accessible by motorcycles and jeeps – Check-in and during afternoon hours stroll around the area – Evening back to shelter – Overnight Haleshi Khotang
Day – 04 – Sightseeing & Meditation – Early morning start for visit to Haleshi Village and Temple – Haleshi Mahadev is a very popular temple known as The Pashupatinath of eastern Nepal – Haleshi is the name of the village nearest to the site of sacred caves where Padmasambhava and his consort undertook three months of ritual that resulted in them attaining a state beyond life and death – Consequently, the caves are associated with practices pertaining to longevity – Worship, meditation or just visit the temple and the cave, etc in Haleshi – This cave is 67 feet below the surface of the land, and is both a revered religious place and a tourist destination – Its entrance is shaped like a half-moon and faces towards the east. It has a round shape, with a diameter of 193 feet, with a separate cave lying beneath – The floor is 223 feet in circumference – Overnight Haleshi khotang
Day -05 – Early morning check out from Haleshi – Breakfast and lunch on the way – Drive towards Kakarvitta – Kakarbhitta is the eastern terminus of Nepal’s east-west Mahendra Highway at the country’s eastern border with Darjeeling District, West Bengal state, India – The Panitanki neighborhood of Naxalbari is on the other side – There is a border checkpoint for customs and third-country nationals – Indian and Nepalese nationals cross without restriction – Traffic between Nepal, India, and Bangladesh goes through Kakarbhitta – Kakarbhitta is 21 kilometers from Bhadrapur airport (Nepal), 105 kilometers from Biratnagar airport (Nepal) and 21.5 kilometers from Bagdogra airport (India) – New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Pakyong Airport (PYG) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction) / Siliguri – It is approximately 345 kilometers and is nearly 05 – 06 hours drive by road -Reach to Kakarvitta via Katari – Forwarding Journey
