Tour Itinerary of Ladakh 06 Nights & 07 Days – Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh – Leh (03 Nights) – Nubra (01 Night) – Pangong (01 Night) – Leh (01 Night) – Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh

Day – 01 – Arrival in Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh – On arrival at Leh airport meet our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Leh -Mountains dominate the landscape around the Leh as it is at an altitude of 3,500m. Peaks, such as Nanga Sago, can reach well above 5,500 meters – The principal access roads include the 434 kilometers Srinagar-Leh highway which connects Leh with Srinagar, and the 473 kilometers Leh-Manali Highway which connects Manali with Leh – Upon arrival, proceed for check-in at your hotel – Remainder of the day will be for rest, to acclimatize – Since you are reaching an altitude of 4000 meters approximately from 200 meters in just one hour’s time, you may be excited and would want to explore everything on your very first day. However, it is your body that needs to get acclimatized to such height and climate. We sincerely suggest that you rest on the first day for body acclimatization. Day – 02 – Visit Sangam, Gurudwara pathar sahib, Hall of Fame, Magnetic hill – In the morning, after breakfast, drive to Sangam (Confluence) – En route visit Magnetic Hill and Gurudwara Patthar Sahib – Visit Confluence of Zanskar and Indus River – The Sangam of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers lies in Ladakh at Nimu – The Indus runs through Ladakh all along by the side serving as a constant companion and guest will feel a sense of respect for this ifeline of the people of Ladakh as Ladakh experiences rainfall of only 02 to 03 inches throughout the year – Both Indus and Zanskar Rivers merge with each other as if they had flown all along just for that purpose – From this point on, beyond this Confluence of the two, the waters are regarded as the Indus River – Magnetic Hill: Can anyone ever imagine the movement of a vehicle up a steep mountain with its engines off – Reach Magnetic Hill to experience this phenomenon which sounds unbelievable – Gurudwara Pathhar Sahib: It is a beautiful Gurudwara constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, about 25 miles away from Leh, on the Leh-Kargil road, 12000 feet – The Gurudwara was built in 1517 to commemorate the visit to the Ladakh region of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder Guru of the Sikh faith. Day – 03 – Leh to Nubra Valley Via Khardungla Pass – 140 Kilometers and is 05 – 06 hours drive – Early morning proceed to Nubra Valley via the World’s Highest Motorable road (5602 Mts) Khardungla pass. Khardung la Pass (18,380ft above sea level): It is not very often that one gets to drive on a road at an altitude of 18,380 feet – That is where Khardungla Pass, meaning the ‘Pass of Lower Castle,’ is located on the way from Leh to the Nubra Valley in Ladakh – It is the highest motorable road in the world as signs put up by the Border Roads Organization proudly proclaim – Arrive Nubra Valley and proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder – You can also enjoy a camel ride here (Camel ride on direct payment basis) – Nubra Valley: Popularly called the orchard of Ladakh, Nubra valley offers a graceful view of yellow and pink wild roses in summer and a carpet of wild lavender in the post-monsoon season – You will definitely be overwhelmed to see the Bactrian Camels (Shaggy double hump Camel) around sand dunes – Thereafter, check in at comfortable stay – Evening at leisure – Dinner overnight stay at the camp or hotel

Day – 04 – Nubra Valley to Pangong Via Shayok / Warila – It is approximately 150 Kilometers and is nearly 05 – 06 Hours – The direct route from Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso is getting popular among domestic tourists year after year – As of 2020, this route is the hot favorite among tourists, especially those who are short on days for an ideal Ladakh trip – Morning after Breakfast proceed for Diskit Monastery – Post the Diskit Monastery, proceed for backward journey to Pangong via Shayok / Warila – Pangong Lake is a picturesque lake is one of the major draws of the Leh-Ladakh valley – A location of several film shootings and known for its pristine waters surrounded by awe-inspiring mountains, Pangong Lake is a prime tourist attraction – The long and narrow lake lies in the neighbourhood of the famous Chushul Mountains – The mirror-calm water is cold, clear and extremely salty – The lake is a breeding ground for a variety of birds – In the evening check in to your camps at Pangong Lake – Dinner and overnight stay at the Camps

Day – 06 – Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa & Market – Today morning is free for leisure. After Lunch visit Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa & Local Market – Shanti Stupa or Japanese Peace Pagoda is built by a Japanese religious organization headed by Head monk Nakamura with the help from the organization and local people – It is situated at a hilltop in Cahngspa village providing a birds eye view of the Leh town and the surrounding mountain peaks – Architecturally it has the Japanese touch with small clean rooms on the side for meditators and the main Japanese shrine at the entrance – Leh Palace: The Namgyal Tsemo (victory Peak) was built by King Tashi Namgyal after the reunification of upper and lower Ladakh and victory over Hor and their bodies are placed under an image of Mahakala, the guardian deities to stop further invasion of Hor. The Leh palace known as ‘Lechen Palkhar’ was built by Singay Namgyal around the beginning of the 17th Century A.D.
