Day – 01 – Siliguri or Kathmandu to Ilam and Antu Danda – It is nearly 110 kilometers from Kakarvitta or Bhadrapur Airport and another 30 kilometers from Siliguri and is 05 hours drive – One can stay at Ilam Tea Garden, Ilam, Mechi Zone, Eastern Region – Guests will begin the tour to Antu Danda – At an altitude of 5,500 feet (1677 meters) – Antu Danda is peacefully located on the foothills of Mount Kanchenjunga, the world’s third highest peak – As the best scenic viewpoint for sunrise and sunset, Mount Everest is visible from here on a clear day – Antu Pokhari and lush-green tea gardens are other attractions of Shree Antu Danda – Tourist enjoy moving around the natural pond lying close to Samalbung – There is a facility of boating in the pond for the tourists – Tourists get attracted to the pond as it is surrounded by beautiful tea gardens from all sides – Tourist can also take the tour of tea factory – Tourists lose the track of time while boating in a healthy and cold environment and having snaps by playing hide and seek in the tea gardens – The dense forest is also an abode to boars, hares, spiny, babblers, Kalij – pheasants, jackals, deer, dove, sim dogs, porcupines, eagles and owls – With a driveable road from Ilam to Chhipitar, trekking along the green hills take 03 hours – Overnight stay at hotel – Overnight at Hotel
Day – 02 – Mai Pokhari – Mai Pokhari is a wetland in Ilam District of Nepal – It is a pilgrimage center for both Hindus and Buddhists – The lake within the wetland which reflects emerald waters has a circumference of about 01 kilometre i.e. 0.62 miles and boats are operated – On the periphery of the lake there is the Maipokhari Botanical Garden of horticultural and ecological importance which houses a rock garden, an orchid house, plants collected from many regions of eastern Nepal, and a green house – After breakfast, you will drive 03 hours to Mai Pokhari – At an altitude of almost 8,000 feet i.e.2,438 meters, Mai Pokhari houses a magnificent lake and nine ponds – Some even large enough for boats – An important pilgrimage site, the lake is of emerald color and sprinkled with water lilies and swarmed with goldfish – Located about 08 miles i.e. 13 kilometers north of Ilam Bazar, there are nearby villages for viewing, including Chureghanti, Dharpani and Hasbire Bhanjyangon – Overnight stay at Hotel / Home Stay or Trekkers Hut
Day – 03 – Departure Transfer to Kakarvitta – After breakfast – Check out of hotel and drive to Kakarvitta or to Bhadrapur for a flight to Kathmandu – The wetland is in the middle hill ranges of the Himalayas at an elevation of about 2100 meters i.e. 6,900 feet and covers an area of 220 acres – It is about 15 kilometers i.e. 09.3
