Day – 01 – Arrival at Pakyong Airport (PYG) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) – Pick up and transfer to Uttarey – It will take 06 to 07 hours drive via Jorethang – The driveto Uttarey will be mesmerizing with the view of dense forests of Sikkim all along the way to Uttarey – One will drive along River Teesta & Rangit – Lunch at Jorethang is preferable – One can withdraw cash if because after Jorethang there are very few options for ATM’s – The drive will be via Jorethang, Richenpong, Dentam, and at last Singshore Bridge, which is considered as the highest bridge in Sikkim and the second highest suspension bridge in Asia – Reach Uttarey one can check into Homestay or Campsite – Evening free – Night stay at Uttarey
Day – 02 – Transfer from Uttarey to Chewabanjang – After a light breakfast, the guide will assist one to get transfer to Chewabanjang – Guests will first reach upper Singalila Ridge, which forms the border between Sikkim and Nepal – The drive will take guest through a rich and dense forest – One can enjoy the swathes of rhododendrons, open ridges, sacred lakes, and remote trails – The final steep ascent for the last couple of hours will bring one right up to the Nepalese border and the first camp – Guests will spend the following day here for necessary acclimatization before further ascension – One will be spending the night in tented camps at Chewabanjang – Note: Everyday client permits and identity cards need to be shown on the trek trail because the trail is on the ridge along the Indo-Nepal border.
Day – 03 – Phoktey Dara Sightseeing – The day starts quite early today as one is planned and scheduled for a walk to Phoktey Dara in the early hours of the morning – Phoktey Dara provides one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the Sikkim and Nepal mountain ranges, as it lies at a junction between Sikkim, Nepal, and West Bengal and the borders meet here – Guests can have a full view of towering peaks including Mount Everest, Makalu, Nuptse, Lhotse, Three sisters, Kumbakarna, Khanchendzonga, and several other peaks in the region – This is one of the best grand-stand views one will get of the majestic Himalayas from anywhere in the mountains – Evening free to stroll – Guests will be spending the night at tented camps / Homestay
Day – 04 – Trek from Chewabhanjyang – Phalut via Tori-Phulay – Early morning breakfast – Next start the trek through the trail that goes to Singalila Viewpoint – It will take almost 01 hour – Guests will come across the singalila top which is the highest point of this day. The trail is an easy narrow path up toward Phalut – The path is along the Indo- Nepal border – It is along the ridge Himalayan alpine trees and rhododendron forest – Start the trail and start climbing for an hour toward Phalut – The views will offer majestic snow-capped mountains of Nepal and Sikkim Himalaya – It serves as the confluence point for many routes starting from Sikkim, West Bengal and Nepal – Guests will have to walk from there to the Phalut viewpoint for another 30 minutes – The view point is very mesmerizing from there one will be able to see the mountain range very clearly – One has to spend the night in Phalut Camp Or Homestay or Trekkers Hut
Day – 05 – Trek from Phalut to Sandhakpu via Sabagram – After breakfast, one will start early for trek as there will be lot of distance to be covered – On the trail which will gradually descend to Sabagram – From here trail gradually ascends up toward Sandhakpu – The trails is best in terms of scenery and diversity of flora and fauna – Phalut is 3,481 meters and Sandhakpu is 3586 meters – One will have to walk on Singalila ridge and through meadows, the route, from April and May, is a season of blooming rhododendrons – In the morning one can go for the main attraction of this spot at sandhakpu – The panoramic views of the majestic Himalayans – And also one of the world famous panoramas for Mount Baruntsem, Mount Chamling, Mount Chomo-Lonzo, Mount Lhotse, Mount Machhapuchhare, Mount Makalu, Mount Everest etc – One can also see the highest ranges of Bhutan called Jomolhari at 7326 meters – Cell phone network is sometimes available – From here one can also see a beautiful sunset & Sunrise – Guests will be spending the night in Camp Or Homestay or Trekkers Hut
Day – 06 – Trek from Sandhakpu to Tumling – Guests have to wake up early in the morning if one wants to enjoy the majestic Himalayas and the Sunrise – From the viewpoint – Guests will have to be ready with early morning breakfast – Start the trek to Tumbling – It is around 05 to 06 hours and roughly 25 kilometers mostly descending to the lowest point of Gauribas and then trekking up to Tumling – The trail will have a moderate, gradual descent for 02 hours to reach Garibas – From there, we will take you to gradually steep ascent up to Tumbling via Joubari through bamboos and rhododendron forest – Later check into the camp – Evening free to enjoy the Bonfire – Tumling is a small settlement beautifully located in a meadow at an altitude of 2970 meters – Guests will be spending the night in Camp Or Homestay or Trekkers Hut
Day – 07 – Trek from Tumbling to Mane-Bhanjang via Chitrey – This will be the last day to trek – The trail will take guests on a plain meadow of Tumbling to Mane-Bhanjang which is an easy gradual descent with Rhododendrons and Magnolia trees along the route – The forest opens up to a lovely meadow again – If guests are very lucky one might be able to spot Red Panda – On the way, the route will take guests on a visit to some monastery at Chittrey and the trail is on a motorable road – It is preferable to take a 30 minutes tea break at Mane-Bhanjang then the drive will take Guests to Darjeeling – It is approximately 35 kilometers and will take it will take 02-03 hours as one has to cross Ghoom Railway Station – Batasia Loop, Ghoom Monastery and War Memorial is worth visiting – After one reach Darjeeling – Check in to hotel – Your last night will be in the mesmerizing place Darjeeling – You can spend the evening strolling in the market – Guests will be spending night in a Hotel Or Resort Or Homestay
Day – 08 – Departure Transfer to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) / Siliguri – Early morning breakfast – Next packing for the transfer – Start the transfer – It is nearly 98 kilometers drive and takes 03 – 04 hours – A stop for refreshment or Tea at Margaret Deck can be cherished – Next halfway drive will be Kurseong – Stop at Kurseong Tourist Lodge & Restaurant is also an Experience to enjoy – One can have Lunch Or Dumpling called Momo as refreshment can be a taste to cherish – Next drive further and Drop at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus (Junction) / Siliguri – Forwarding journey
