Gorumara National Park - This Park is situated nearly 6 kilometers from the national highway number 31. The entry is nearly 15 kilometers the highway adjacent to a tea estate. Nearly 88 kilometers from Siliguri and can be reached by two approach road one via Jalpaiguri other via Sevoke and Chalsa.  This park is known for the breeding of the rare one horned rhinoceros. Option of Elephant ride at various site developed by the forest department are available for the guest. Similarly few new cottages are developed by the West Bengal Tourism department with fooding and cultural show. Elephant ride can help you spot the mighty bison, leopard, spotted deer, sambar, hog deer, reptiles, huge wild tuskers, wild boars and the rarest variety of animals and birds including plenty of peacocks.The national parks and sanctuary remains closed from 15th June to 15th September each year. Birding, angling, tribal tours are few of the options for guest to enjoy and there can be other options like religious tour, tribal tour to Cooch Behar and Bhutan. With a fascinating diversity of flora and fauna and with various other options this park is one of the tourist hotspot of the region. The vast texture of massive trees sheltering varieties of orchids and resounded with echo of birds and wild animals make it an ideal place to spend a vacation. Communication / Connectivity

Airways – The nearest airport is at Bagdogra, which is 2 to 3 hours drive from Gorumara National Park in Duars / Dooars approximately 90 kilometers. Bagdogra airport (IXB) is well connected to Kolkata, Delhi and Guwahati with daily flights. One can avail the airways with two to three hours drive. It is well connected with roads and railways with the neighboring places. Even Paro airport in Bhutan is also 7 to 8 hours drive.

Railways - New Jalpaiguri railway station (NJP) is the major junction, which is 2 to 3 hours drive from Gorumara National Park in Duars / Dooars approximately 90 kilometers.  Though railway is not popular as a mode of transport in the area, yet there are a few railway station and the track passes through scenic sites. Important stations like Malbazar and Chalsa. A scenic rail route between Alipurduar Junction and New Jalpaiguri via Malbazar covers almost entire Dooars region but it is in news as 10 elephants have been killed by speeding train in the last couple of years.

Roadways - The main mode of transport in the area is roadways and is well connected to the rest of India.  National Highway 31 is the main highway passing through Duars. Regular bus services provided by North Bengal State Transport Corporation and Assam State Transport Corporation and other private vehicles are also available, except during tourist season, when it is to be booked prior. Gorumara is 90 kilometers from Siliguri, Chapramari is 85 kilometers from Siliguri, the Buxa Tiger Reserve is 200 kilometers from Siliguri and the Jaldapara is 124 kilometers from Siliguri.
